Wonderful 2-day tour to Udawala National Park & Ella Train ride
We did a wonderful 2-day tour to Udawala National Park and Ella with Tony.Everything was organized perfectly. Tony picked us up in Ahungalla in the morning with a comfortable air-conditioned mini van
We drove 3 hours to the national park, where a breathtaking safari awaited us.It was an unforgettable experience to see elephants, buffalos, crocodiles, monkeys and various exotic birds in the wild
After the safari we visited the Elephant Transit Home in Udawala. Small elephants are raised there to be later released into the various national parks, where they can then live in the wild.We were traveling with our 4-year old son and he was really fascinated to see the little baby elephants.
From there we drove to Ella to see the famous Nine Arches Bridge. The bridge is very impressive and the wonderful landscape can hardly be described in words. On our way to Ella we saw lots of amazing waterfalls and we were able to stop there and making pictures.
After that we climbed up on one of the famous mountains around Ella, where you have a spectacular view of Sri Lanka and the beautiful nature.Tony was always with us and patiently answered all our questions and told us a lot about the country, the people and the local culture.
Tony is a very warm, patient and caring person and you feel very comfortable and safe with him from the first second. The next day we did a 3 hour train ride from Ella. The train ride is a real highlight for anyone who wants to get to know the country and its people better. You get a lot of impressions on the train journey and you can hardly get enough of the beauty of the country
After the train ride, we went on a tour of one of the largest tea plantations and tea factories. It was very interesting to see how the tea is grown, harvested and processed in Sri Lanka.
On the way home to Ahungalla we stopped at famous viewpoints where we could take great photos. We thank Tony for these unforgettable 2 days and can only warmly recommend him as a tour guide. He is absolutely great and everyone will benefit from his experience, knowledge and loving nature!Thank you so much Tony , we are looking forward for our next tour with you.Warm regards,
