Early morning depart to Udawalwe and it takes 2 hours from Ahungalla. Udawalawe is One of the finest places to see large herds of Elephants freely roaming about in their natural habitats. Also home to 184 species of birds, 43 species of mammals 33 species of reptiles and other fascinating wildlife.
After three hours safari you will be driven to Udawalawe “Elephant Transit Home” to Witness the feeding time which is the most interesting sight.Twenty minutes drive away from the Udawalawe National Park is the ‘Elephant Transit Home’, associated with the Born Free Foundation (UK). Here, orphaned or sick elephants are fed and cared for until they are strong enough to be returned to the wild. The centre allows you to visit at the feeding times. From behind a barrier you can watch the elephants ambling along behind a keeper, into the compound where they will be fed milk through plastic hoses with funnels attached, some stamping and trumpeting with impatience.
Then drive to Yala.It takes two and half hours and you will be checking at Oakray wild Hotel in Yala.
Next day morning take off to leopard country! It is the second largest and the most visited of all National Parks in Sri Lanka. Its varied ecosystems provide favourable habitats for a large population of Leopards recognized as the largest density of Leopards in the world. In addition there are Elephant, Sloth bear, Monkey, 215 species of birds and other interesting wildlife.After three hours safari drive back to Ahungalla.
On the way back to Ahungalla , you have the opportunity to observe the age-old tradition of stilt fishing ,Galle dutch fort,tusunami museum and moon stone mine in Meetiyagoda

Had a 2 day tour to Udawalawe and Yala safari parks, over night stay In a luxury hotel oak ray also did Sigiriya lion rock fortress and Dambulla lion temple everything was well organised and all drivers were fantastic cars comfy private jeeps for just the two of us again drivers fantastic awesome time can’t say enough about this tour operator. Absolutely 5 star would give more stars if I could would definitely recommend this operator everything was perfect had a fantastic time. A BIG MASSIVE
