DAY 1 ARRIVAL - KOSGODA AND BENTOTA
Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery: Learn about sea turtle conservation and watch baby turtles hatch and make their way to the sea. The hatchery is actively involved in preserving endangered species, including the Green and Olive Ridley turtles.
Bentota River Safari: This peaceful river safari is a nature lover’s dream. Cruise along the river surrounded by lush mangroves, and spot various wildlife, including water monitors, crocodiles, and diverse bird species such as kingfishers and herons.

DAY 2 - KOSGODA AND GALLE
Dutch Fort of Galle: Stroll through the cobbled streets of the Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site that is a blend of colonial-era architecture and Sri Lankan influences. Explore its boutique shops, cafes, and enjoy the panoramic views from the fort’s ramparts.
Stilt Fishermen of Koggala: Watch as fishermen stand on stilts to fish in the shallow waters. This ancient tradition, often photographed, is unique to this region of Sri Lanka and provides a glimpse into the island’s fishing culture
Moonstone Mine: Learn about the mining of moonstones, a semi-precious gem found only in Sri Lanka. Visit local mines and gain insights into how this gemstone is carefully extracted.
Tsunami Museum: Visit the Tsunami Museum to understand the profound impact of the 2004 disaster and how the community has rebuilt and healed over the years. The museum’s collection offers personal stories and historical context.
DAY 3 - SINHARAJA RAINFOREST AND UDAWALAWE
Sinharaja Rainforest: A biodiversity hotspot, Sinharaja is home to endemic species of flora and fauna. Trek through the forest with a naturalist guide who will point out endemic birds like the Sri Lanka Blue Magpie and rare reptiles. The forest’s serene waterfalls are perfect for a refreshing swim.
Elephant Transit Home, Udawalawe: A heartwarming visit to the Elephant Transit Home where you can interact with orphaned elephants. You’ll see baby elephants being bottle-fed and playing in the mud, a memorable experience for nature lovers.
DAY 4 - UDAWALAWE SAFARI AND YALA
Udawalawe National Park: Home to large herds of elephants, this park offers spectacular wildlife sightings. In addition to elephants, you may spot monkeys, crocodiles, and various bird species. The park is also known for its open grasslands, making wildlife viewing easier and more enjoyable.
Yala National Park: Famous for its leopards, Yala also offers sightings of elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles, and exotic birdlife. During the safari, your guide will take you to the best spots based on local knowledge, enhancing your chances of a wildlife encounter.
DAY 5 - YALA SAFARI
Second Safari in Yala National Park: Go deeper into the park for another chance to explore its diverse ecosystems, from grasslands to forested areas. Leopards are the stars of Yala, and the park is known for being one of the best places in the world to spot these elusive creatures in the wild.
DAY 6 - ELLA
Nine Arches Bridge: A beautiful railway bridge that spans a valley surrounded by tea plantations. This iconic bridge has become a symbol of the region’s scenic beauty and is a great spot for photography.
Mini Adams Peak: A hike up this smaller peak offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding valley, tea plantations, and waterfalls. It’s an easy trek suitable for most fitness levels, and the summit provides breathtaking vistas.
DAY 7 - RELAX IN ELLA
Relax in Ella: Take a break from the tour and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Ella. You can explore local attractions at your own pace, such as Ravana Falls or the tea plantations. Enjoy the cool climate, drink a cup of Ceylon tea, and soak in the natural beauty.
DAY 8 - ELLA TO NUWARA ELIYA (TRAIN JOURNEY)
Scenic Train Journey: The train ride from Ella to Nuwara Eliya is one of the most stunning train journeys in the world. As you pass through dense forests, tea plantations, and misty hills, you’ll feel like you’re traveling through a postcard.
Tea Plantation Visit: Learn the process of making Ceylon tea, from picking the leaves to processing and brewing. You’ll also have the chance to purchase premium tea directly from the estate.
Nuwara Eliya City Tour: Nuwara Eliya’s colonial architecture and cool climate earned it the nickname “Little England.” Visit landmarks like the Gregory Lake, the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club, and the famous Hakgala Botanical Gardens.
DAY 9 - KANDY
Hindu Temple & Spice Garden: Explore a local Hindu temple and immerse yourself in the vibrant colors and spiritual atmosphere. Visit a spice garden to learn about the various spices that Sri Lanka is famous for, including cinnamon, cardamom, and pepper.
Cultural Dance Show & Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic: In the evening, attend a cultural dance performance showcasing traditional Kandyan dances. Then visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, one of the most revered Buddhist sites in the world, where you can witness the ceremonial offerings to the Buddha’s tooth relic.
DAY 10 - VEDDAHS [THE INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF SRI LANKA] AND PASSIKUDAH
Veddah Village: Meet Sri Lanka’s indigenous Veddah people in their forest village. Learn about their ancient lifestyle, customs, and connection to the land. The Veddahs are one of the last groups to practice traditional hunting and gathering.
Passikudah Beach: A tranquil escape on the island’s east coast, Passikudah is known for its calm waters and long stretch of golden sand. It’s a perfect place to unwind, enjoy the beach, or simply relax in tropical paradise
DAY 11 - RELAX IN PASSIKUDAH
Beach Day in Passikudah: Spend a relaxing day at one of Sri Lanka’s best beaches. Enjoy the warm waters, take a stroll along the shoreline, or simply enjoy the stunning views. You can also indulge in a variety of water sports like snorkeling, diving, or kayaking.
DAY 12 - PASSIKUDAH, TRINCOMALEE, MIHINTALE AND ANURADHAPURA
Fort Frederick, Trincomalee: A historic site with a mix of Dutch and British colonial architecture. It offers panoramic views of Trincomalee’s harbor and the surrounding area.
Mihintale: Considered the birthplace of Buddhism in Sri Lanka, Mihintale is home to ancient monasteries and stupas. The climb up to the summit offers great views and a glimpse of the island’s religious history.
Anuradhapura: Explore the ancient city of Anuradhapura, home to many important archaeological sites, including the Ruwanwelisaya Stupa, one of the tallest monuments in the world. The sacred Bodhi tree, which is over 2,000 years old, is another highlight of the visit.
DAY 13 - ANURADHAPURA
Anuradhapura Ancient Ruins: Discover the wonders of Sri Lanka’s first capital, including the Abhayagiri Monastery, which was once one of the largest monastic complexes in the Buddhist world. Learn about the island’s rich history and architectural marvels.
DAY 14 - SIGIRIYA AND DAMBULLA
Sigiriya Rock Fortress: One of the most iconic sites in Sri Lanka, Sigiriya is a towering rock fortress with frescoes, gardens, and incredible views. The ascent to the summit will reward you with a bird’s eye view of the surrounding jungle and plains.
Dambulla Cave Temples: The largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka, the Dambulla Cave Temples are home to over 150 Buddha statues and beautiful murals that date back to the 1st century BCE.
DAY 15 - PINNAWALA AND DEPARTURE
Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage: Watch elephants bathe and play in the river. At Pinnawala, you’ll learn about the rescue and rehabilitation process for orphaned elephants and have the opportunity to get up close with these majestic creatures.
Negombo Beach: Enjoy your last day in Sri Lanka with a relaxing day at Negombo Beach. This beach is less crowded but offers great opportunities to enjoy the sea and a beautiful sunset before your departure.
