DAY 1- ARRIVAL IN SRI LANKA - TRANSFER TO NEGOMBO
Upon arrival at Colombo International Airport, you will be greeted and transferred to Negombo, a charming coastal town. Check in to your hotel and enjoy free time exploring the local beaches, vibrant fish markets, or colonial-era Dutch canals.
DAY 2 - SIGIRIYA – THE ICONIC LION ROCK
Begin your journey towards Sigiriya, stop end route at a Pineapple Garden and the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, where rescued elephants are cared for. In the afternoon, visit the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, also known as Lion Rock, a UNESCO-listed site towering 600 feet above the jungle. Climb to the top and admire ancient frescoes, rock gardens, and breathtaking views. Spend the night at a hotel in Sigiriya.
DAY 3 - KANDY – THE CULTURAL CAPITAL
After breakfast, visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, Sri Lanka’s largest and best-preserved cave monastery, featuring over 150 Buddha statues and mesmerising murals. Continue your journey
with a visit to a Hindu temple and herbal spice garden in Matale, where you’ll learn about Sri Lanka’s rich spice heritage. Arrive in Kandy, home to the Temple of the Tooth Relic, one of Buddhism’s most sacred sites. In the evening, enjoy a Kandyan cultural dance performance before checking in to your hotel.
DAY 4 - NUWARA ELIYA – THE HILL COUNTRY
Start your day with a visit to the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya, home to over 4,000 species of plants, including orchids and towering palm trees. Then, head towards Nuwara Eliya, known as “Little England”, famous for its colonial architecture and cool climate. En route, stop at Ramboda Falls, a breathtaking waterfall nestled in the hills. Visit a tea plantation and factory, where you can pluck fresh tea leaves and learn about the tea-making process before enjoying a cup of world-renowned Ceylon tea.
DAY 5 - ELLA & YALA – SCENIC TRAIN JOURNEY & WILDLIFE ADVENTURE
By 9:25 AM, board the scenic train from Nanu Oya to Ella, one of the most picturesque rail journeys in the world. Relax and enjoy views of lush tea plantations, misty mountains, and
waterfalls. Upon reaching Ella, explore the Nine Arch Bridge, a marvel of British-era engineering, and hike up Little Adam’s Peak for panoramic views of the valley. Later, drive to Yala National Park, known for its high density of leopards and diverse wildlife.
DAY 6 - YALA SAFARI & BENTOTA BEACH ESCAPE
Wake up early for an exciting 3-hour Jeep Safari in Yala National Park, where you can spot leopards, elephants, crocodiles, and exotic bird species. After the safari, head towards Bentota, stopping at the Weligama Fish Market to witness local fishermen at work, see stilt fishermen in Koggala, and explore the Galle Dutch Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a rich colonial history.
